The world is full of amazing people.
In my career, I've had the privilege of speaking to many of them. From farmers defending their right to use their land to feed their community, to prospective college students writing the admission essay that could change their lives, to retirees quietly revolutionizing the revitalization of keystone species in their backyard—it's become my passion to help people organize and optimize their message to find their best audience.
Hello and aloha! My name is Alyssa Warner and I create and optimize media for a living.
I grew up on the island of Oahu and earned my Bachelors in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. UH has a unique program with a focus on Pacific-Asian literature, and I earned my degree through books, essays, and poems by writers who excelled in modern, experiential, and community-focused storytelling.
I currently work for Ogden Publications, a Kansas-based publisher of magazines such as Mother Earth News, Grit, and Backyard Poultry. I started as an SEO, optimizing print articles and analyzing content performance. As Mother shifted to on-demand video learning, I joined the digital production team to create new content to pair back to our print publications.
When not working, I'm growing vegetables, cuddling chickens, or playing games about growing vegetables and cuddling chickens. I also enjoy digital painting and think TTRPGs will save the world.
My goal for 2026 is to start extra seeds to donate to a local community garden, and to grow an extra row each of tomatoes, squash, and beans to donate to a local food pantry.
